IAIN KEENAN

a freelance science writer

Welcome

Welcome to freesciencewriting, a free resource for scientists and the public requesting articles written in any field of Biological Sciences and general science at any level from science for children and the general public, from newspaper and specialist magazine articles to degree and postgraduate level articles. I am available to write for your audience in the style of your choice, whether that be journalistic, academic or general.

I am based in Dundee and St Andrews, within a region of excellence for bioscience and biotechnology located on the east coast of Scotland in Tayside and Fife.

I have experience of degree level, postgraduate and postdoctoral writing, including my undergraduate dissertation, PhD thesis and published scientific papers as well as abstracts and posters for conferences among the science community. I am presently required to write reports for my current postdoctoral position. I also enjoy creative writing in my spare time

My specialities are in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, but I also have experience of writing in Ecology, Sports Science and General Science and I have the knowledge and expertise to produce articles on a wide range of scientific subjects. I can also produce poster presentations and project reports if the data are supplied to me.

If you would like to request an article, please contact me via email: . When the work is complete, I will email you a word file of a written document or a powerpoint file of a poster presentation.

All my articles are written free, but I reserve the right to quote the article in my CV. I am offering this service in good faith and I will refuse to write any pieces that are intended for submission for examination or articles for which clients will attempt to pass off as their own work. Rather, I am offering this service as a study aid and a helpful resource. If you would like to make a donation to charity instead of payment I, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society I collect money for, would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks for visiting
